The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, Department of Geomatics and Surveying.

As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor, you will be

Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions
Supervise undergraduate student research projects where relevant
Engage in active research and innovation in their area of specialisation
Participate in community outreach programs and university income-generating activities
Participate in examination invigilation and assessment processes
Contribute to departmental curriculum development, research, innovation, and industrialization efforts
Participation in continuing professional development and mentorship of students
Willingness to collaborate across disciplines within the Faculty
Commitment to advancing the University’s vision through excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement, research, and community engagement

Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
BSc hons Degree or related in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
A Master’s Degree in Surveying or Geomatics and Surveying
Teaching experience at tertiary level will be an added advantage The candidate should be able to teach any three of the following modules: Engineering Survey, Hydrographic Surveying, Surveying CAD, Mine Survey, Mine Survey, Cadastral Survey, Survey Computations, Environmental Planning/Design
