Description

The University seeks to engage a Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance Contracting Manager in the Vice-Chancellor's Office, Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance Contracting Section.

Responsibilities

As a Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance Contracting Manager, you will be

  • Educating the entire University community about performance contracting
  • Facilitating the negotiation of performance contracts, ensuring that the negotiated targets, performance indicators, progress assessment approaches and incentive structures are clear, relevant and understood by all
  • Leading and coordinating the implementation of the performance contracting process and cycle
  • Collating and analysing the performance contracting data and writing reports for the attention of the management team
  • Facilitating the monitoring and review of the performance contracting policies, systems, and procedures, and recommending appropriate changes
  • Designing and developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks for performance contracts, ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic goals
  • Collaborating with the university staff to define key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and data collection methods for monitoring and evaluation
  • Implementing monitoring and evaluation systems to track and assess the progress, outcomes, and impact of performance contracts
  • Developing data collection tools, such as surveys, interviews, and data templates, and ensuring their effective implementation
  • Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in performance contract implementation
  • Preparing comprehensive reports on performance contract, including progress against targets, outcomes achieved, and areas for improvement
  • Conducting regular reviews and evaluations to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of performance contract implementation
  • Providing insights and recommendations based on monitoring and evaluation findings to enhance program or project performance and outcomes
Qualification
  • The ideal candidate should have: First degree in Human Resource Management/Sociology/Psychology
  • A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management/Sociology/Psychology
  • A Diploma/ Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation will be a distinct advantage
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in the Human Resource section at Senior Human Resource Officer level or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of working experience performing Monitoring and Evaluation of Performance Contracting duties
  • University working experience will be an added advantage
