Responsibilities
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor / Full Professor, Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, you will be
-
Lecturing the following undergraduate courses: Cartography and Introduction to GIS and Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Spatial Analysis, Applied GIS and Remote Sensing
-
Supervise undergraduate dissertation
-
Participate in community outreach activities
-
Participate in University income generation projects
-
Contribute significantly to the research, curriculum development, innovation and industrialisation activities

Perform academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor through the Department
Qualification
-
The candidate must have 5 Ordinary level passes including English Language and Mathematics
-
Applicants must hold a BSc (Honours) Degree or equivalent degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, Geography and Environmental Science, and Geoinformatics
-
A Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, and Earth Observation or a closely related field
-
A relevant PhD qualification will be an added advantage
-
A record of scholarly contribution in at least one referred journal
-
A tertiary teaching experience is a prerequisite
