The University seeks to engage a Student Development Officer in the Student Affairs Division

Responsibilities

As a STUDENT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, you will be

  • Designing, implementing, and evaluating programs that encourage student engagement, leadership and personal development
  • Organising or assisting at workshops, seminars, and events that address soft skills
  • Collaborating with other organisations and departments to encourage a vibrant campus culture
  • Collecting and analysing feedback from students to assess the effectiveness of programs and services
  • Preparing reports and presentations for university stakeholders to showcase the impact of student development initiatives
  • Working closely with academic departments, career services, counselling services, and other university departments to create seamless support systems for students
  • Establishing partnerships with external organisations to provide students with additional development opportunities
  • Facilitating the formation and development of student clubs and associations for professional growth
  • Assisting with registration and orientation activities
Qualification
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Humanities/Psychology/Social Sciences/Education
  • A Master’s Degree in Humanities/Psychology/Social Sciences/Education will be an added advantage
  • Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
  • Proven two (2) years working experience with students in a tertiary institution setting, often including experience in advocacy, or organising student activities
