The University seeks to engage Cooks in the Retail Department
Responsibilities
As a RETAIL COOK, you will be
-
Cook dishes
-
Quality check ingredients and prepared products to be used during service
-
Follow recipes accurately
-
Prepare food using various appliances and equipment
-
Maintain a clean, safe and sanitized work area
-
Organize equipment, utensils and other tools prior to service
-
Participate in the garnishing and presentation of dishes
-
Oversee opening and closing duties for each assigned shift
-
Follow food Safety Protocols
-
Ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of the cook areas, maintains sanitary standards for the handling, transportation and storage of food
Qualification
-
Certificate in Professional Cookery/Food Preparation/Hotel and Catering from a recognised institution
-
Applicants must have five (5) Ordinary Level Passes
-
A Class one (1) journeyman certificate is an added advantage
-
One (1) year experience as a cook in a restaurant environment
