The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

As a LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / FULL PROFESSOR: MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS, you will be

The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of modules, including: Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistical Inference, Multivariate Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics and Statistical Modelling
The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in research, innovation and knowledge production within any of the areas mentioned above, generating outputs that contribute to national and global needs
They will also be expected to take part in teaching, postgraduate supervision and the broader academic and professional development of the department

Hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics & Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research & Statistics, Applied Statistics or related quantitative disciplines
Hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics & Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research & Statistics, Applied Statistics or related quantitative disciplines
Applicants must have at least of 5 “O” level passes including Mathematics and English Language
A PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Applied statistics or related quantitative will be considered an added advantage
At least six (6) months university teaching experience as a Lecturer, Tutor or Teaching Assistance
